Via Heathenharvest.orgWritten By: Prof. Melon"Banana Pill is the duo of Sasha Kretova and Dmitri Zherbin whom are based in Helsinki. Their musical abilities are easy to notice on these four compositions, each around ten minutes long. The violin is strong and somber on “December Pill”, sounding as though someone from A Silver Mt. Zion were recording outdoors with the Jeweled Antler collective. The electric piano is confident enough to hold together a layered collage of impressionist loops and scattered Foley sounds on “Where the Snow Takes”. They make it seem easy. Found sounds, the rattling of toys and continuous tracks of what might be tumbling stones combined with straight forward melodic instrumentation and the occasional addition of a distant, yet heavenly, vocal drone is what makes this album effective. It seems that Banana Pill can confer the status of musical instrument upon whatever sound sample they encounter."To read the full review and more: http://heathenharvest.org/2013/03/12/banana-pill-banana-pill/
