Jimmy Eat World is the debut studio album by American rock band Jimmy Eat World, released in 1994 on Wooden Blue Records. The album displays their early sound with guitarist and eventual backing vocalist Tom Linton singing lead on most of the songs on this album. The one song on this album that is sung by current primary vocalist Jim Adkins is the track, "Usery". The album also marks the only appearance of former bass guitarist Mitch Porter.

Damage (Jimmy Eat World album). Damage is the eighth studio album by American rock band Jimmy Eat World, released on June 11, 2013, on RCA Records. Described as "an attempt at making an adult breakup record", the album was produced by regular Queens of the Stone Age collaborator Alain Johannes, and was preceded by the singles "I Will Steal You Back" and "Damage".

Jimmy Eat World formed in Mesa, Arizona, USA in 1993. They are associated with an array of genres including alternative rock, indie rock, punk rock and emo. Singer/guitarist Jim Adkins and drummer Zach Lind, who had been friends since kindergarten, joined forces with t Tom Linton and bass player Mitch Porter to try their hand at music. In its early years the band emulated the style of their punk rock influences, and they eventually recorded and released three singles and a full-length, self-titled album on local label Wooden Blue Records. The band also intended to include their cover of Duran Duran's song "New Religion," which originally appeared on a tribute album, but were denied permission by the record label that originally released it.
