When you're down and troubled And you need a helping hand And nothing, nothing is going right Close your eyes and think of me And soon I will be there To brighten up even your darkest night. You just call out my name And you know wherever I am I'll come running, oh yeah baby, to see you again Winter, spring, summer or fall All you've got to do is call And I'll be there, ye, ye, ye You've got a friend. Ain't it good to know that you've got a friend When people can be so cold They'll hurt you, and desert you And take your soul if you let them, oh yeah, don't you let 'em now. You just call out my name And you know wherever I am I'll come running to see you again, oh baby, don't you know Winter, spring, summer or fall Hey now, all you have to do is call And I'll be there, yes I will You've got a friend You've got a friend, yeah. Ain't it good to know you've got a friend Ain't it good to know you've got a friend.

I had a dream about the Jackson 5. I was addressing the audience at a luncheon of somesort but all I said when I stood up was that I was hungry. The Jackson 5 were at one of thetables and Tito came up to the podium with a sandwich of American cheese and lettuce on whitebread, open-faced on a plate. I told him that rather than eat the sandwich I would preserve itand he asked me if I did that with all my food. Only when it comes from the Jackson 5, Isaid.
When you get together in a group, it becomes like a family, with the different personalities and the politics that comes with being in a band. It's different than bringing something in by yourself. Albert Hammond, Jr. Family Yourself Politics You. It's very hard to get together with your friends. You rarely see friends as a whole group. You Together Friends Your. Whatever we believe about how we got to be the extraordinary creatures we are today is far less important than bringing our intellect to bear on how do we get together now around the world and get out of the mess that we've made.
