The discography of the English rock band Led Zeppelin consists of eight studio albums, four live albums, nine compilation albums, sixteen singles and eight music downloads. Formed in London in 1968, the group consisted of guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bassist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. The band pioneered the concept of album-oriented rock and often refused to release popular songs as singles

List of songs recorded by Led Zeppelin. Led Zeppelin were an English rock band who recorded 108 songs between 1968 and 1980.

I myself entered the precincts of Earls Court at three minutes to eight, just as a thunder began in the arena and hundreds of people from every direction dashed towards it as if they were missing a train. Those acquainted with the writings of Mr. Tony palmer will be conscious today already that Led Zeppelin are the greatest band in the world, if not the entire solar system. With Pink Floyd, Jethro.

Led Zeppelin IV firmly established Led Zeppelin as the biggest and best band of the 1970s, and during a long and triumphant tour in support of the disc, they began writing songs for the follow-up. Houses of the Holy was recorded in New York and various studios throughout England, and it showed the band moving past their blues rock roots. Led Zeppelin's second album was recorded during the precious little downtime they had on their endless 1969 world tour. It took them months to record in studios all across America and Europe, yet somehow it sounds cohesive. The track listing almost reads like a greatest hits collection: "Whole Lotta Love," "Thank You," "Heartbreaker," "What Is And What Should Never Be" and "Bring It On Home.

Led Zeppelin had a fully formed, distinctive sound from the outset, as their eponymous debut illustrates. Taking the heavy, distorted electric blues of Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, and Cream to an extreme, Zeppelin created a majestic, powerful brand of guitar rock constructed around simple, memorable riffs and lumbering rhythms. But the key to the group's attack was subtlety: it wasn't just an onslaught of guitar noise, it was shaded and textured, filled with alternating dynamics and tempos. As Led Zeppelin proves, the group was capable of such multi-layered music from the start.

It features the members of Led Zeppelin in late Apollo mission astronaut suits in front of a starry background and a Led Zeppelin logo. The logo behind them shows many space-related images, but the only one wholly visible is the image of the moon's face with a space capsule stuck in its eye taken from the early silent movie A Trip to the Moon. On the back of the sleeve is an array of information split up into two columns. On the left column, there is a photograph of the cover of Latter Days
