This 1984 song belonging to the Romanian hard rock band Iris was released on the group's debut album, "Iris I", the first heavy metal album in the history of Romanian rock music. The Train Without Its Master" along with "Pe ape" ("On the Water") are two of the most known songs created in the 80's period and they are performed to this day, at almost each concert. On July 20th, 1982 at Medgidia, Iris had their first concert with Cenaclul Flacăra. He helped Iris to release their first album in early 1984, in a period dominated by the communist censorship. More than that, Păunescu wrote the lyrics for "The Train Without Its Master" and the song quickly became an anthem for the Romanian rockers and disidents, and continues to be a freedom anthem to this day.

Explore Île de Ré holidays and discover the best time and places to visit. Bathed in the southern sun, drenched in a languid atmosphere and scattered with villages of green-shuttered, whitewashed buildings with terracotta roof tiles, Île de Ré is one of the most delightful places on France's west coast. The island spans 30km from its most easterly and westerly points, and just 5km at its widest section. In July and August it is almost impossible to move around and even harder to find a place to stay.

A comfortable Ile de Re holiday home located a stone's throw from the harbour & the medieval market with an enclosed sunny garden with pool. Back to the top. Rated amongst the most beautiful villages in France, La Flotte remains faithful to the typical image of the Ile de Ré. Sheltered from the ocean by the Pertuis Breton, its port, like that of Saint-Martin, faces the Vendée coast.

With its long and undeveloped beaches, picture-perfect villages, mouthwatering markets and many miles of cycle lanes, the Île de Ré is indisputably one of France’s loveliest seaside spots, but also worth considering for a summer break are other nearby islands off the Atlantic coast.

Iris' sole album is less-than-exemplary neo-prog featuring some former members from Marillion. The album's 8 songs don't vary too much from each other so in 48 minutes not much musical development really happens
