Eternal Nightmare is the debut album by the San Francisco Bay Area thrash metal band Vio-lence. It was released originally in 1988 on MCA Records' Mechanix sublabel. A limited 10" promo single was released, with two tracks 'Eternal Nightmare' and 'Phobophobia'; the release was quite unique, as it came in a sealed plastic cover, containing (fake) vomit.

Markus Johnsson: Well, me and Thomas Einarsson couldn’t get along at all back in the ’90s. During the demo and Velvet album time. He was too damn decisive and stubborn in a negative way. But we were only young teens, back then–fourteen and fifteen, respectively, when the demo was recorded and about a year older when A Velvet Creation was recorded. That just happens naturally, as every album is like a photograph of that particular time. But Markus has a pretty specific and individual touch when writing riffs! I think fans will get that same impression now.

Eternal Life" is a song composed by Jeff Buckley and is track on his album Grace. It is believed to have been influenced by a long-time love for Led Zeppelin's music and a wish to emulate them in this song. The track is something of an exception on the album, featuring aggressive, overdriven guitar and bass riffs that contrast with the more intimate, melodic format that otherwise characterizes the album. Eternal Life" can also be found on his 1993 EP Live at Sin-é.
