dave seamans mix would sound better if that 'brass disk' twonk talking over the first 7 minutes wasn't there
Carl Cox at his very best. Carls vinyl mixing always puts a smile on my face, and this is no exception. Showcasing his immense talent, this mix is not only chocka of great tracks , but Carl shows us his skills , scratching, phasing, & beat juggling his way through a taste of 91... Perfect it aint , but mixing with Vinyl never is , the so called DJ's of today could learn something by listening to this a few times..????
What a great mix for the first installment of the mixmag live serries, kicking off with carl cox,a wicked selection of hardcore techno.Starting off with atomic bass what a tune, rhythm section went on to produce some wicked eps this being one of them. Its techno of the finest quality hard yes,but no detroit caper in here, all thou you will notice tronik house, uptempo and mental techno our created by kevin saunderson but its more in tune with the belgium sound as opposed to the detroit sounds, not to sure about dave seamans mix. There our some classics in there and he is a legend in his own right, but for me its the carl cox mix which represents the wicked tunes being produced in that era, they dont make them like this anymore
Yeah but I think the one I have volume 5 slipmatt & lime has a far better mix on it.
This release of the acclaimed MixMag Live series is considered to be the first legal dj mix available for purchase by the general public.
