Mads Eriksen (born 12 October 1962 in Bergen, Norway) is a Norwegian guitarist and composer, known as solo artist and for his cooperation with Chris Thompson among others. However, the album, entitled Feedback 86, was not released until 2002. In spite of his already busy schedule in 1986, Thompson still found the time to return to Manfred Mann for their new album, Criminal Tango, in addition to putting out some solo material. He recorded the song "It's Not Over" for the soundtrack to the film Playing for Keeps, and this track was also featured (with a slightly longer fade-out) on his new solo album, High Cost of Living, released later the same year. The album was the only album to include all six Jackson brothers together as an official group; also, it was the band's last album to be entirely recorded with lead singer Michael Jackson, as well as their first album to feature Jermaine Jackson since 1975's Moving Violation

Norwegian-born Mads Eriksen released his first album, Journey, in 1990. The disc quickly set him in the guitar hero section of the musical genre, that area reserved for people like Yngwie Malmsteen and Joe Satriani. He followed that album up the next year with Storyteller. 1993 saw Eriksen releasin. . 1993 saw Eriksen releasing an ambitious effort entitled Intermission Troldhaugen. The album was a tribute to Norwegian classical composer Edward Grieg. The next year he let loose with an album simply and eloquently called Mads Eriksson. It was another two years before the follow-up to that one came out. It was in the form of Plough Boy. The album showed the beginnings of a country-sort of texture. His newest album, Suburban Cowboy, continues in that vein, moving into the use of instruments such as banjo and accordion

Comparable to Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and Randy Coven, Norwegian guitarist Mads Eriksen is a perfect example of a rock instrumentalist. This self-titled CD, which was recorded in 1993 and 1994, is loud and aggressive but intricate. Eriksen loves his power chords, but he doesn't live for bombast alone - and because of that intricacy, some people might compare the Scandinavian axeman to fusion guitarists. But, again, there is a major difference between what fusionists do and what a rock instrumentalist does
