Johann Sebastian Bach's output include two types of organ concertos: arrangements of works by other composers. The six works catalogued as BWV 592–596 are arrangements which were realised by Johann Sebastian Bach as part of his Weimar concerto transcriptions. The organ concerto in E-flat major, BWV 597, is probably spurious. orchestral organ concertos (reconstructions).

Album · 2018 · 22 Songs. From the Gothic horror vistas of the organ concerto, via the rhythmic vitality of the piano concerto, to a near-kitsch sound world in the Stabat Mater, Poulenc’s musical voice is seductive. There’s a humanity to that balance of the sacred and the profane that infuses all his compositions, and this trio of works offers a wonderful insight into his personality.

The Handel organ concertos Op 4, HWV 289–294, are six organ concertos for chamber organ and orchestra composed by George Frideric Handel in London between 1735 and 1736 and published in 1738 by the printing company of John Walsh. Written as interludes in performances of oratorios in Covent Garden, they were the first works of their kind for this combination of instruments and served as a model for later composers.

Album · 1978 · 13 Songs. Organ Concerto in A Minor, BWV 593: I. Allegro. 2. Organ Concerto in A Minor, BWV 593: II. Adagio.

Richenhagen, Albert: Rosary, Pt.

An organ concerto is a piece of music, an instrumental concerto for a pipe organ soloist with an orchestra. The form first evolves in the 18th century, when composers including Antonio Vivaldi, Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel wrote organ concertos with small orchestras, and with solo parts which rarely call for the organ pedal board.

Many years ago I bought a second hand copy of 6 Handel organ concertos arranged by S. J. Noble (sometime Professor at the Royal Academy of Music) for the organ or pianoforte.

The concerto is in one continuous movement with tempo indicators . I like classical piano music and I tried to get into classical organ music, though technically this is more baroque. What an abrupt way to begin. There’s absolutely no flow to this opening paragraph at all.
