In 1932, he took up a post at Christ Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he lived for the rest of his life. Another remarkable instrument used by Biggs was the Challis pedal harpsichord; Biggs made recordings of the music of . Bach and Scott Joplin on this instrument. Bach's "great" organ pieces are eternal - and I am eternally grateful that they are played so masterfully by E. Power Biggs. Power Biggs plays the music of J. S. Bach with authority and clarity. Impeccable virtuosity with expressive dynamics. I enjoy listening to this recording especially when I am alone at home with other family members away.

Bach's Royal Instrument. Main Performer or Conductor: E. Instrumentation: Organ. Individual Works: Toccata, Adagio, and Fugue in C major Six "Schubler" Chorales. Format: Vinyl Record. Johann Sebastian Bach as heard on a Skinner Organ. Romantic though the organ may be, Biggs' interpretations never seem to show their age. Recommended for the performance.
