THE BEATLES Get Back - The Glyn Johns Mixes (Clarified) 'Rough Mix' Acetate and original (1st) version of the unreleased Get Back Album January-May 1969.
The Beatles' rooftop concert was the final public performance of the English rock band the Beatles. On 30 January 1969, the band, with keyboardist Billy Preston, surprised a central London office and fashion district with an impromptu concert from the roof of the headquarters of the band's multimedia corporation Apple Corps at 3 Savile Row. In a 42-minute set, the Beatles played nine takes of five songs before the Metropolitan Police asked them to reduce the volume
The Beatles' 19th British single, Get Back was the first release by the group from their 1969 'back-to-basics' phase. John Lennon: "Get Back is Paul. That's a better version of Lady Madonna. You know, a potboiler rewrite. Although the single and album versions both originate from the same recording, the single contains a coda which was omitted by Phil Spector on Let It Be. Instead, Spector added dialogue from the rooftop performance at Apple, to give the impression of a newer, live performance. The single's coda began after a false ending, and contained the lyrics: "Get back Loretta, your mummy's waiting for you. Wearing her high-heel shoes and her low-neck sweater, get back home, Loretta. The rooftop performance was finally released on Anthology 3 in 1996.

THE BEATLES As Nature Intended GET BACK The Glyn Johns Compilations. The tape ended up like the bootleg version. We let Glyn Johns remix it, we didn't want to know. Phil Spector began his work on Get Back on 23 March 1970. In Chronicles, Mark Lewisohn illustrates the image I use for compilation 4 and captions it as from March 1970. He further states that the Get Back title was still planned as late as spring 1970 when Spector's work was almost finished. At which time the title was changed to Let It Be. He does not indicate, specifically, if the March cover was intended for Glyn's or Spector's version of the album.
