Preludes: Rare and Unreleased Recordings is a two-CD compilation of music and interviews, including unreleased outtakes and demos, by singer-songwriter Warren Zevon, who died in 2003. A few months after Zevon's death, his son, Jordan, drove out to one of his father's storage spaces in the San Fernando Valley to begin the process of sorting through old recordings.

Disc 5 is the ultra-rare Mental Notes album from 1985, originally only released in North America, The Netherlands, Australia & Greece. Amongst the ten bonus tracks are five that have never appeared on CD before, culled from rare American only 12 singles. Each disc comes in a card wallet that features its original LP artwork. The 20 page booklet contains detailed liner notes, pictures of all the relevant record sleeves, memorabilia and press clippings from the time.
Rare & Fatty is a compilation album by British 2 Tone and ska band Bad Manners, released in 9 February 1999. Bad Manners left Magnet Records in 1983, and Telstar Records released an album, The Height of Bad Manners. The album was assisted with a television advertisement promotion, and it brought the band back to the attention of the media, the group went on to sign a contract with Portrait Records in the United States and Mental Notes was released in 1985. The first ska recordings were created at facilities such as Studio One and WIRL Records in Kingston, Jamaica with producers such as Dodd, Prince Buster, and Edward Seaga. Until Jamaica ratified the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works and this created a large number of cover songs and reinterpretations.
