Liszt: Les Preludes/Smetana: Die M. Herbert Von Karajan. As for this entire DG Originals release, four of the five selections were recorded at sessions in April 1967: Vysehrad, The Moldau, Les Preludes, and Hungarian Rhapsody (labeled as "No. 2" on the original LP). Mazeppa was recorded in February 1961. All selections were recorded at the e in the Berlin suburb of Dahlem, a venue which hosted dozens and dozens of Karajan/Berlin Philharmonic recording sessions until around 1975 when the orchestra's recordings were primarily taped in the Philhamonie.
