Motorpsycho is a Norwegian rock band from Trondheim. Their music can generally be defined as progressive or psychedelic rock, but they also mix in elements from alternative, jazz, post-rock, pop, country and many other musical styles. The members of the band are Bent Sæther (born 18 February 1969, bass/vocals), Hans Magnus "Snah" Ryan (born 31 December 1969, guitar/vocals) and Tomas Järmyr (drums). Until March 2005, Håkon Gebhardt (born 21 June 1969) was the band's drummer.

Motorpsycho ‎– Soothe. Label: Voices Of Wonder ‎– VOW 027. Format: Vinyl, 12", 33 ⅓ RPM, 45 RPM, Mini-Album. The highs on the album are quite high, but there are definitely some doldrums to get through as well, and if you know what you like on here there isn’t an album experience that would compel you to listen through everything else to get to it. Let's talk about the sleeve quickly: it's simple and serviceable.

Формируйте собственную коллекцию записей Motorpsycho. Motorpsycho are smart to know that to really get scary, you get a little quieter. The moment the warped, slightly deflated guitar comes in it’s unsettling, and then the backwards vocal takes it to that unnerving place. A short, well executed track.

Genre: Alternative Rock. No one has said anything yet. Contributions By. LauraIsdahl.

The six tracks on the 34:53 minutes long EP are also featured on the "8 Soothing Songs for Rut (1992)" compilation album, which was the first time they were released on CD. The music is raw and distorted hard rock heavily influened by especially late eighties Soundgarden albeit with a personal twist. The tracks are generally pretty long and already this early on in the bands career there are jamming parts mixed with more structured vers/chorus sections.

Maiden Voyage (1990). The album was originally released in 1997 as three limited EP's (500 copies each): Babyscooter (Jan 27), Have Spacesuit Will Travel (Feb 3) and Lovelight (Feb 10). The album version of "Un Chien D'Espace" is shorter than the EP version. Ohm's Concerto For Alto And Soprano Saw 1:35.

Motorpsycho has its origins way back in the mid-1980s, when teenage Norwegian metal heads Hans Magnus ’Snah’ Ryan and Bent Sæther me. Recording their sophomore effort, the Soothe mini-album, in the local Brygga Studio in Trondheim in January 1992, and following the mini album with two 7 singles later in the year to increasingly better acclaim, the band’s fortunes were on the rise when they in September added a fourth member, noise enthusiast and art school student Helge ‘Deathprod’ Sten.
