The Chair' was originally featured on 'The Long Kiss Goodnight' soundtrack. The version of 'Frail' that appears here is the instrumental version that was originally recorded for the band's 1994 demo 'Frail'. Lyrics were not added until the band re-recorded it for 'Much Afraid' in 1997.

The first single from the album, "Reach", was released to radio 25 March 2011 for sale on 19 April 2011. Furler participated in the Winter Jam 2012 tour. In 2010, Furler became the drummer for longtime Newsboys songwriting collaborator Steve Taylor's new band, Steve Taylor & The Perfect Foil, their album, was released on 18 November 2014. Furler played drums for former Newsboy Phil Joel's album deliberateKids2. Furler formed the Peter Furler Band in 2012; the band includes Jeff Irizarry on drums.

The Gathering (Jorn album). A City upon a Hill is a phrase from the parable of Salt and Light in Jesus's Sermon on the Mount. In Matthew 5:14, he tells his listeners, "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. It has become popular with American politicians. A Model of Christian Charity. The City on a Hill series is unique in its community-inspired collaborations of worship between prominent Christian musicians. With the exception of Third Day, the long-time participants are back for round four: Jars of Clay, Caedmon's Call, FFH, Sixpence None the Richer, The Choir's Derri Daugherty, and Glassbyrd (which was involved behind the scenes the whole time). The Gathering also features returnees Sara Groves, Bebo Norman, and Paul Colman Trio, plus City on a Hill newcomers Andrew Peterson, Ginny Owens, and acoustic-pop band Silers Bald
