A flavour of the album can be summed up in the track Darma. One man’s internal nihilistic mantra as he realises he’s run out of options

Parastatic ‎– Lost Highway. Label: 104 Records ‎– OOF001LP. Format: Vinyl, LP, Album, Frosted Clear Vinyl. Country: UK. Released: 2012. In fact the same such groove occupies most of this album, adjusted only slightly in different tracks. Some of this sounds more like Portishead gone motorik, and a lot will love it because of that. User reviews
Curious that a lot of things that get classed or promoted as Krautrock these days are not really Krautrock at all. Parastatic were highly recommended to me. Being the Krautrock fan that I am. But what of them? Well, they're as much Krautrock as Stereolab or any other band that's learned how to do the La Düsseldorf groove. In fact the same such groove occupies most of this album, adjusted only slightly in different tracks. Some of this sounds more like Portishead gone motorik, and a lot will love it because of that.
